Board Renewal Process
The current three-year term of the Dungog Regional Tourism Inc (DRT) Board concludes at our 2025 Annual General Meeting in December. We are now seeking applications for a new skills-based board of seven directors committed to advancing tourism throughout the Dungog region.
DRT provides leadership and coordination of tourism initiatives through strategic partnerships with Dungog Shire Council, local tourism industry operators, and the Dungog Chamber of Commerce. Our goals are to:
- Develop the Dungog Region as a premier destination 
- Increase visitor numbers to our region 
- Enhance the visitor experience across all touchpoints 
- Identify growth opportunities for individual tourism businesses 
Selection Process
A dedicated selection committee will evaluate applications and recommend directors for formal appointment by members at the Annual General Meeting.
Essential Qualities:
- Knowledge and passion for tourism challenges and opportunities 
- Demonstrated commitment to the Dungog region 
- Skills in one or more key areas: 
- Business development and operations 
- Marketing and brand management 
- Corporate governance 
- Financial management and planning 
- Strategic planning and implementation 
Commitment Required:
- Voluntary positions (no remuneration) 
- Minimum 11 meetings per year 
- Additional committee work and strategic initiatives
