Before You Apply
These guidelines will help you prepare a strong application for appointment to the Dungog Regional Tourism Inc Board. Please review our Constitution before applying to ensure you understand the organisation's structure and objectives.
Selection Criteria
According to Clause 15 of our Constitution, the Board must comprise members who are:
Knowledgeable and passionate about tourism issues and challenges
Skilled in one or more of the following areas:
Business development and operations
Marketing and promotion
Corporate governance
Financial management
Strategic planning
What We're Looking For
We seek to build a capable, diverse board with complementary skills that operates in the interests of the entire tourism industry. While we welcome applications from tourism operators, we aim to avoid direct representation of specific industry segments.
The key quality we seek is a demonstrated passion and commitment to seeing the Dungog region's tourism industry flourish.
Please note that all Board positions are honorary with no sitting fees.
Availability Requirements
Successful applicants must demonstrate availability to:
Attend regular Board meetings (currently held monthly, with a constitutional minimum of six per year)
Serve on Board committees as required
